Our Physical Therapists have extensive experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.  With an average of 25 years each evaluating and treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries, they are dedicated to leading patients through the recovery process and the return to an active lifestyle.

WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY?

Physical therapy is rehabilitative care that utilizes an array of techniques to facilitate the healing process and restore physical abilities by improving strength, mobility, flexibility, coordination, balance and endurance.

Steve Longinotti, MSPT | Physical Therapist

 

Steve is a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas and has been Director of Rehab Services for Bowen Hefley Orthopedics Physical Therapy since its inception in 1997. Steve holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas.

 

In addition rehabilitation program design, Steve has expertise in Kinesio-taping, and holds certifications in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Dry Needling, and Myofascial Cupping.

Steve and his wife, Lisa, reside in Little Rock and have two adult sons, Stephen and Andrew. They are active members of New Life Church.

Matt Thornton, MSPT | Physical Therapist

 

Matt is a Little Rock native and graduate of Little Rock Catholic High. He attended Centenary College of Louisiana where he played soccer and earned several conference and school honors. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences from Centenary, and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas.

 

Matt coached soccer at the Little Rock Futbol Club for several years, as well as at Little Rock Catholic High for three years, winning state titles for both organizations. Matt joined Bowen Hefley Orthopedics in 1999 and is our Assistant Director of Rehab Services. He also works in home health PT. Matt lives in Little Rock with his wife and two sons.

Debbie Williamson, MSPT  | Physical Therapist

Debbie grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock Central High School. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville), and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas.

 

Debbie has worked with patients in a variety of settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, nursing homes and outpatient orthopedics. She joined our team here at Bowen Hefley Orthopedics in 2010 to focus solely on outpatient orthopedics. Debbie resides in Little Rock with her husband and children.

Blake Maddox, PTA | Physical Therapist Assistant

Blake Maddox grew up in Sherwood, Arkansas and has been with Bowen Hefley Orthopedics since 2021. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science with a focus in Disability Services from Arkansas Tech University. Blake received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Arkansas State University. Blake and his wife, Brittney now reside in Benton.

Lisa Sallings | Physical Therapist

Lisa  has been with Bowen Hefley Orthopedics since September 2018. She has been working in physical therapy management since 1994, spending the past 18 years serving as Director of Therapy Services at a large outpatient Orthopedic clinic. Lisa is a native of McCrory, Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1987.

Lisa has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association for 25 years. She has been an active volunteer with Care Link Meals on Wheels since 2006.  Lisa resides in Little Rock and enjoys outdoor activities including cycling, golf, and hiking with her dog, Jack.

Angela Carson, PTA | Physical Therapist Assistant

Angela Carson is a long time resident of Sherwood.  She is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, and has served her community for 22 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  Angela has worked with clients of all ages and abilities in the hospital, home health and rehabilitation settings, and in outpatient orthopedic clinics.

Angela is an active volunteer.  She is currently serving on the boards of The Van (a mobile, homeless outreach organization), and the Bernice Farmer’s Market.
